Israel says a missile launched from Yemen was intercepted

The Israeli military has said it intercepted a missile launched from Yemen towards its territory. “Sirens were sounded in accordance with protocol,” it said in a statement. Yemen’s Houthi group has been firing missiles and drones towards Israel, stating that their actions are acts of solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. The Houthis in Yemen have said that as long as the war in Gaza continues, they are going to be firing missiles towards Israeli territory and towards Israeli airspace.
