In Afghanistan, 2.3 million children are severely malnourished - an alarming rate which has been exacerbated by aid cuts, and the country's economic collapse. According to UNICEF, 50% of children under 5 currently face stunted growth. Maternal malnutrition also means nearly half of pregnant women are anaemic.
