- Lakeside Mall could become a mixed-use town center called Lakeside Village. Sterling Heights city officials will unveil the new design plans at a public open house event next Thursday. The Macomb Daily reports they’re trying to keep Lakeside viable amid a nationwide decline of brick-and-mortar indoor shopping malls.
