Episode 113 - All I Wanna do is Zoom A Zoom Zoom

And if you can name that group...pat yourself on the back folks.

So, this is the first recording made on my recently purchased used (but damned near brand new with box and all) Zoom H4 Handy Recorder. This thing is really slick. I cannot believe how light it is and how well it records. I'm aware of the popping going on in this recording and I've minimized it. It came with a foam mic cover, but it's not sufficient. I've ordered a dead cat (that's an industry name) wind guard that should help alot.

Regardless, this thing is astounding. The funny thing is that it's been around for a long long time. In addition to being a handy dandy high-end recorder, it can also record 4 channels at once via the onboard stereo mics and two XLR inputs on the bottom. Pretty amazing for on-location podcast episodes with guests in the future.

So, that's really the good thing going on with me this week. There's more, but that's a biggie.

We also caught The Batman and I can tell you that it's pretty much everything they've been saying about it...and more. We didn't move for 3 straight hours and were totally enthralled. Great film.

Not much else new on the interest side of things. I'm probably going to not look at building computers all the time now. I mean, the flipping market is over saturated and I started this as a calming hobby...not as a stressful moneymaker. I have one up for sale currently if you or someone you know is looking. Right here...SYS02. In addition, there's a video of some benchmarks I ran on it here. It's a quality piece of gaming equipment and it'll last a good long time. Not to mention how the upgrade path is rich with possibilities.

So, it'll be back to some major gunpla action after this one sells. I did put down a deposit on a Steam Deck as well. Cannot wait until the end of the third quarter this year. Yeah, they're on serious back order.
