Well, here we are. Another week gone by. It's been hectic at Trail Estates and I'm a running to and fro with all the activities the daughter is involved in. I'm not complaining though...much anyway.
I wanted to discuss mental illness awareness some more. I know, broken record right? Thing is, I'm free. I've come clean and I discuss my issues freely. Most people are not. They hide it and it can cause more damage that way in most folks' opinion (including my own). So, I plead for you to get help yourself and discuss this or to reach out to/for others you know who are dealing with it. Get help. Come clean.
Now, onto stuff I'm into. We're really digging on Schitt's Creek. If you've not, I suggest you give it a chance. I've discussed this with homeboy Mikey and he's not into it at all. Then again, he doesn't care for Eugene Levy...so... Anyway, it's a fun show and a slow burn when it comes to comedy. Not for everyone and not slapstick really at all. I dig it. Catherine O'Hara and Chris Elliot also star. Oh, and Eugene Levy's own son (plays his son) is in it as well.
I also recently watched "Knives Out" and really loved it. The whole family was into that one actually. I hear there's a sequel in the works and I know we cannot wait. "Inception" was a film I've been meaning to see for, well, a decade now. Finally watched it the other night. I wouldn't say I loved it. It's pretty confusing and difficult to follow at times. I am intrigued by it, however, and will be checking in on it again soon. Hard to believe this film is ten years old already. Great cast.
Finishing up the book "The Outsider" by Stephen King again. Almost done. Good thing too, as there's now an HBO series based upon it. Have to check that one out. Other than that, some new comics are around and I'm into the Joe Hill DC series books (he's the son of Stephen King ya know) and I'm becoming more excited about the Netflix adaptation of "Locke and Key." It's from a great comic series and I suggest you go out and get those Trade Paperbacks when you get the chance.
That's all for now folks. I'll catch up with you again next week.
