Coming out of the gates rather strongly with a little ZZ Top's "Deguello" playing on my new 1byOne turntable.
I thank you all so very much for listening and talking about what I've discussed over the past few weeks. It means alot to know that you're listening and that you appreciate what I'm saying. After all that, I launch into "What's Bugging Me?" and discuss being honest with yourself. So many people aren't and it's a shame. I discuss a book we're reading jointly at work.
Look, I won't lie. I usually hate stuff like this. The whole "corporate speak" thing reminds me of "Kids in the Hall" and their, obvious, dislike of businessmen. But, this really is different. It's more of a book to help you realize how full of it you are and how much you (and everyone around you in your life) can benefit from you just "being real" and understanding your motivations and how you behave towards others. So, it's gonna get a shout out on here.
After the break, I start in on the vinyl. You knew it was coming, so quit crying already. I talk about some recent finds you can check out by clicking right here.
Yeah, it's been a blast and I scored some great stuff with the help of my main homeboy Mikey. In addition, I was afforded the opportunity to order, set up, and review/test a great turntable system made by 1byOne. It's really great folks. If you don't mind the cost (it's a value, but not cheap), then this is what you'll wanna grab and get into vinyl. I am loving it myself! Thanks 1byOne.
In addition, I discuss my new wet cleaning system. I highly suggest you get one if you are a vinyl fan. The amount of funk that came off some of the records I have is pretty incredible. As is the way said records sound now. Absolutely amazing!
Enough of that. I discuss upcoming things like "The Mandalorian" which dropped with Disney+ Tuesday. Yes, it's amazing!
I briefly and vaguely discuss Mikey and I attending a screening of "The Lighthouse" and, yeah, well, I'll never be the same folks.
Speaking of, Mikey will be joining me on the very next special episode of the show. It's going to be a simian themed affair primarily focusing upon apes and all in our culture dealing with them. I have loved Planet of the Apes (POTA for special dorks) my entire life. I really adore the most recent trilogy also. I encouraged Mikey to view it and he agreed. So, that coupled with his belief in sasquatch should make for some entertaining listening. Don't forget to throw in some serious records playing in the background and some boozin' folks.
I can't wait for you to enjoy it next week!
Thanks for listening and, as always, please review wherever you do listen.
