Tiny Church in South Carolina | Roadside America

Small houses of worship pop up unexpectedly in tiny communities across the land. Traveler’s Chapel is always open so we stopped here today to check it out. Inside you can sign the guest register and read all of the comments from others travelers who have also stopped here.

The church was built in 1972. A tree fell on it during a storm and it was rebuilt. Vandals attacked the church and set it on fire. It was rebuilt. There is no lock on the door. Many (Mr Jones said, "Hundreds") of marriages have been performed here. There are six pews -- 12 people max could fit.
