I have an old Macbook that I am looking to improving the performance of. I read that the best things that you can do are to upgrade the RAM and upgrade the hard drive to a solid state hard drive.

I decided to buy a Western Digital Blue Solid State Drive to replace the old hard drive that was in the macbook. This WD SSD drive is a 500gb SSD and it was really easy for me to change out the hard drives, which I’ll discuss in an upcoming video.

After installing this new SSD hard drive into my old Macbook, the computer is running better, starting up faster and can handle more operations. I’m very impressed with it. If you are looking to speed up your Macbook, consider upgrading your hard drive to a SSD hard drive if you have an optical drive.
