I am not a fan of a harness for kids or a harness for baby. You would use a harness for baby walking when they are in danger of falling or of getting lost, and that is why we decided to get a harness for toddlers, because we are going to the Grand Canyon with a 2 year old.

We need a harness for walking around the Grand Canyon because a friend was telling us that there are no guardrails there and that a harness for walking baby to act as a leash for kids would be a good idea in this situation.

I have seen other parents use a kids leash before, and I’m not a huge fan unless you have a very specific need (ie your kid has autism), but this kids leash comes with a kids wrist harness so that the child harness leash could connect to their wrist if you prefer that.

A children harness has its purpose, but I don’t think that everyone needs a leash for toddler on a daily basis. A leash for toddlers are only needed when they are in a dangerous place because I would image that a toddler harness would get pretty uncomfortable after a while.

We decided to go with this toddler walking harness because it has the child safety wrist strap as a part of the kid leash. Have you ever used a leash before for your kids? Let me know in the comments below!
