How to make a box fan filter: 

1. Purchase a 20 in × 20 in (51 cm × 51 cm) box fan and a MERV 13 filter.
2. Put the filter behind the fan so that the arrows point towards it.
3. Tape the filter to the fan using duct tape. You can use one or more filters depending on your preference.
4. Trace and cut out cardboard to cover the gaps between the filters and the fan.
5. Tape the cardboard to create a seal around the fan and the filters.
6. Put the filter in an enclosed room and turn it on. Replace filters as needed.
