Dr. Amir Olfat is a native Californian and a graduate of Chapman University, where he earned a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology. After graduating from Chapman, Dr. Olfat moved to New York's Hudson Valley for medical school.
While in medical school, he had the opportunity to explore the greater New York area, from Brooklyn's East Flatbush to Nyack, in order to complete his core clerkships. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Olfat completed an intense surgical internship at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where he was awarded “Intern of the Year.” Dr. Olfat is now working on completing his residency in interventional and diagnostic radiology at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He is excited about what the future holds for the field of IR. In addition to his academic interests in radiology and research, he enjoys photography, biking, and traveling.
