Brockton has gotten so much press within the last couple of years–and not for some of the most common reasons. There's been an influx of new musical talent and one artist who's stood out to Charlie MaSheen and the team here at CWTFB Radio is a boom-bap loving, lyrically inclined, deep voiced, intense, dark and gloomy rapper who simply goes by his birth name, Jiles.
Prior to becoming a fraction of the Brockton-based musical powerhouse, Van Buren Records, Jiles made his entry into the MA rap scene as the creator of a blog titled One Van as his way to stay connected to Hip-Hop and create the kind of content he felt was much needed at the time. He then clique'd up with some close friends and officially began his journey as an artist. His first body of work titled "Fuck Jiles" is an introduction into the mind of a comedically influenced young Black man who also went through the trenches of the hood and turned his mishaps into magic. Jiles followed up with a very short but satisfying EP titled "It's Not Much, But It's Mine", which is what inspired the name of this episode, and also recently released a Deluxe version of the extended play with more content for his core fans. Join Chizz and Jiles in this 1 on 1 as they go through the life of the artist, the formation of his group/label, what he has going on next and also a #RedCupsAndRap freestyle!
BE SURE TO GO GET THAT NEW EP "IT'S NOT MUCH, BUT IT'S MINE (DELUXE)" AND ALSO "FUCK JILES" ON ALL DSPs!
