Black men vs law enforcement is a battle that is generations old and shows very little indication on bridging the gap any time soon. In most cases the biggest gang in the US, which is the police, come out triumphant in any altercation with the Black men they apparently fear so much. In February of '21 another traffic stop that ended with a Black man in jail involved Mattapan's own Sadiddy Dev. Unlike most cases, in just a year later, Dev is out of custody and free of the assault charges the MA State Police tried to pin on him! Welcome home family!
Sadiddy Dev is no stranger to the music scene in Boston although he's spent some gaps of time away from his craft fighting cases. The street stories filled with ambition, pain, and hard hitting punchlines are why we grew to love Dev's style of music. Now that he's home again we're hopeful for a strong push of new content that will contribute to the fast growing scene.
