Listen in on my amazing and enlightening conversation with Dr. Jen Hardie of Ontario, Canada.
Dr. Jen practices naturopathic medicine, which is a holistic way to approach treating her patients and finding the root cause as opposed to treating just the symptoms. While conventional medicine has its place in the world, Dr. Jen believes in digging deep and developing relationships with her patients.
She is a big proponent for women's health and we dive deep into how our bodies operate during our menstrual cycle. She states, "As women, we don't operate the same as males. We run on a 28-day cycle and we're different every single day of our cycle. So, we shouldn't be expected to show up the exact same way as males who have a 24-hour cycle."
In terms of starting out for hormonal balance, Dr. Jen recommends women start tracking your cycle. I would add tracking your emotions + mood each day of your cycle is vital too. She also recommends adding in ashwagandha which helps balance our adrenals which also helps with stress. Licorice root is another great one to add in as well for stress.
We also discuss how we can show up best for ourselves and our clients. We also talk about tapping into our intuition and self-development. There is sooo much goodness in this episode and I cannot wait for you to listen in!
