Hi everybody! A lot has been happening in the world lately and on this episode we try to balance our patented CULTRA jackassing with an appropriate and much needed conversation about race, privilege and what it means to be an ally. Jimmy runs 100 miles for no reason at all, Fred finishes his Great Virtual Race Across Tennessee, Becky is all heart and Art is the head. We form like Voltron to come together to discuss recent events and the consensus is "we need to do better" as a society (looking at you here, white people).
We decided before the show that if you are uncomfortable with conversations about race, you are probably racist. If you want to fight us on this, please stop listening to us. We don't want you, we don't need you. Go work on your shit and get back to us when you're ready. Yes, our conversation is awkward and messy and imperfect and we're trying really hard to be a part of the positive changes taking place and are trying to make changes within ourselves to confront systemic and institutionalized racism.
We also read some recent 5-star Reviews and discuss FKTs and upcoming plans for the summer.
