A Love to Remember

It's the Christmas season, and for believers, Advent season. Advent means "to come" and is appropriately used to refer to the coming of our Savior. The Advent season includes the four Sundays before Christmas. It's a season of devotion and remembrance of Christ coming in the flesh and moving into our neighborhood, so to speak, as well as His Second Coming. Four candles are lit in the four weeks leading up to Christmas, representing hope, love, joy, and peace, which are four wonderful results of a saving relationship with Christ. Then, on Christmas Eve, we light the Christ candle, celebrating God demonstrating His love for us by sending the Savior. In this series, we will be celebrating Advent by recognizing that remembering that first Christmas can make our current one a genuine Christmas to remember.
