Bob Bemer was a computer programmer and computer industry pioneer who

made significant contributions to the development of computer

languages, character encoding systems, and software engineering.

Bemer was born on February 8, 1920, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan,

USA, and died on June 22, 2004, in Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas, USA, at

the age of 84....
