Appalachian Trail; Machete on the Mountain

From  nuisance to murderer, a man terrorized hikers on the Appalachian Trail for months before killing a military veteran who loved to hike because it brought him solace.  The attacker seriously injured another who's amazing strength and resilience led to the attacker's capture.
