09. Marcus Cox

A producer behind such films as Adult Beginners, KICKS, Tangerine, and I Stand: The Guardians of the Water, Marcus shares his story from working in real estate to pursuing his bucket list, and explains the importance of flexibility and problem-solving when it comes to productions large or small.

Marcus is an Independent Spirit nominated and Emmy and Gotham Award winning producer. He founded Through Films with his wife, Karrie Cox, in an effort to produce meaningful motion pictures that captivate, influence and entertain audiences.

Marcus recently produced the drama Dark Was the Night, starring Marisa Tomei, Charlie Plummer, Timothy Olyphant and Mireille Enos and Michael Tully’s psychological thriller, Don’t Leave Home. Through Films has a diverse slate, with multiple film and television projects in development.
