Part of being healthy includes exercise in your daily routine. Intentional movement that gets your body moving. But how to get fit if you hate exercise?

That's a dilemma, and one that most of us don't care to acknowledge. Seriously, if I didn't have to exercise, do you think I would?

But the pros of exercise outweigh the cons. The health benefits you get in return for your life benefits. Exercise is worth it!

How to get fit if you hate exercise?

When I mention the word exercise, what comes to your mind? OMGoodness... How much time will it take? What will it cost? How much can I lose? When can I go shopping for a new wardrobe?

It's the numbers!! The numbers are holding you back, scaring you in the opposite direction. It's feeding your excuses. The numbers on the scale. The numbers on the hanger. The numbers on the clock. The numbers of repetitions.

How to get fit if you hate exercise?

If you force it, there will be a 90% change you won't continue long term. This is about a lifestyle. If you need motivation, it's NOT the doing part that the problem. There's something else you're hiding from. If you are waiting until you can be ALL IN, then it's never going to happen. There's never a perfect time. And if you find it boring, it's probably because you are doing it too long; not because your movement isn't fun. 

BENEFITS OF EXERCISE:

  • Decrease risk of various diseases (cardiovascular, high cholesterol, diabetes, etc.).
  • Increases longevity.
  • Improves mood (turns the "happy" on).
  • Increase energy. Regular exercise boosts endurance.
  • Improves sleep.
  • Improves sex life.
  • Builds muscle increasing muscle retention. Helps control weight.
