In becoming a mama for the first time, it never crossed my mind that iron sharpens iron. My children sharpen me. 

My children have taught me so much. Those times when I have flashbacks as if I'm looking directly in a mirror.

As moms, we tend to miss the boat on how much we are being taught because we are always teaching, nurturing and serving.

The opportunity to grow personally can actually be exponentially magnified when you allow yourself to be sharpened by your children.

Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."

Honestly, we look at mentors, parents, coaches, teachers, and pastors to sharpen us. 

How can our children sharpen us? 

When you give yourself permission, humbling yourself and truly acknowledging what you don't know, the door of greatness open further. God gave you your children to teach you more! The life lessons we only get when in the trenches.

Motherhood is not easy. And trying to be perfect all the time is impossible.
