Definition of fitness is the state of being fit. Pretty simple. Yet there are even more specific definitions.
Along the biology aspect:
a) the degree of adaptation of an organism to its environment, determined by its genetic consitution.b) the ability of an organism to produce viable offspring capable of surviving to the next generation.
Fitness in Medicine:
1. The state or condition of being physically sound and healthy, especially as the result of exercise and proper nutrition.2. A state of general mental and physical well-being.3. The state of being suitably adapted to an environment.
