"O God, listen to my cry! Hear my prayer! From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety, for you are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me. Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings!" ~ Psalm 61:2How much is your heart overwhelmed today?
The breath is shallow; the heart is heavy. The mind cannot think straight, only focused on eyelids that weigh as much as bricks. The hands and legs cramp. The stomach growls for attention.
Don't despair, peace is near!
The peace that passes all understanding. (Philippians 4:7)
Your cry is heard. Your heart is felt.
Lord, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. (Psalm 61:2)
Even in the midst of chaos, there is calm.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Don't despair, peace is near!Sometimes you just don't have control. You do one thing, only to run into another thing. It's called the domino effect.
Why does hurt and pain, overwhelm and despair, all have something to compare?
It's the exponential growth of chaos and confusion. One that holds your heart hostage only to trample your hopes for the day.
The cost seems too great at the time.
- A loss of words.
- An exhaustive sigh.
- A financial strain.
- A broken heart.
You try to fool others that all is okay. But your reflection screams at you otherwise. This is not your day!
I cry to You, Oh Lord, for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to rock that is higher than I. (Psalm 61:2)Peace is found when love abounds. You are loved. There is hope.
In one minute, you will breathe 15-20 times, and your heart will beat 90 times. You are alive. Your circumstance does not crowd out your life. Instead, it shocks your alertness and awakes the soul.
You are not alone. There within you lie the hope and love instilled by your Creator, God of the heavens and the earth.
Don't despair, peace is near.
The peace that passes all understanding.
