Just when you got used to immersing yourself in the sparkle of the color-changing leaves, they will all be gone.
Nothing seems fair when you get comfortable with what is. But it's in that comfort that we miss the beauty of what's to come.
This season, be watchful and alert. Surround yourself with the anticipation of refreshment and a renewing of your spirit.
As much as you look towards the past, be intentional about looking ahead. Keep your eyes fixed and your heart open.

Let the Creator of the heavens and earth hold you in His hands. He's got the whole world in His hands and you too.
As this holiday season opens the doors to shopping and Christmas carols, what are you wishing to close the doors on?
It's natural to want to guard our hearts so the pain and hurt don't overwhelm us during this season.
So instead of relying on your own strength, know that God will never leave you nor forsake you. His steadfast love endures forever.
Eventually, the hustle and bustle will be nestled in with the ornaments and Christmas carols. The heart will quiet for just a moment just before it awakens to the stress of the new year.
As with any season, take it in strides. The cold, gray days and skies will give you moments of hope even though the frigid weather may turn your heart a little cold.
Know that this too shall pass. And with any cold comes with it a shimmer of warmth. The warmth that sustains the heartbeat in the midst of the storms.
Nothing seems fair when you get comfortable with what is. But it's in that comfort that we miss the beauty of what's to come.
The best is yet to come!
