I think about how jam-packed my schedule can get during the day. I get caught in the swamp of busyness.
Just when I think I have it all under control, something else happens.
Watching college football yesterday, there were some good games on. But one that stood out to me was from the Big XII Conference between Oklahoma (10) and Baylor (13).
Baylor started the game with a 3 and out. No progress on the field. Oklahoma gets the ball, but Baylor has something else planned; a 3 and out.
I can't remember all the details, but understand Baylor was up 28 to 3 at the half. If you looked at a glance, not even knowing anything about football, you would think Baylor's got this!
Oklahoma had another plan. They trusted the process and what was practiced throughout their season.
Long story short, Oklahoma came back to win the game 34 to 31!
The K.I.S.S. ~ Time for a heart's comeback!Oklahoma had an awakening. They never counted themselves out. The fans might have. The announcers didn't know how to respond with this initial shut-out.
But Oklahoma was not going to break even in the face of adversity.
Why is it that sometimes we need to be slapped around in order to wake-up?
Are you living your life by habits, reactions, and busyness? Are you leaving little room, if at all, for God?
We may feel that God has abandoned us. But He says that He will never leave you nor forsake you. (Hebrew 13:5)
REFLECTION: So why do you leave Him?
Why do we abandon God? He doesn't abandon us.
You are loved! You matter!
Don't pre-judge based on how the world sees. Clean your lenses, look into your heart. It's time for your heart's comeback!
