1360 The Power of Interpretation

How you see the world and what happens around you determines the direction you will go. In fact, whom you will follow. The people you hang out with. The decisions you make. All is influenced by your interpretation.

Let's look at what an interpreter does. It's a person who translates speech orally. Interpreters are important when there are language barriers.

I want you to take it a bit further. When you interpret something, like an event, a comment, a song, a Bible verse, you are translating it into a meaning specific for you, for the situation.

You then become the interpreter.

With the interpreter comes the interpretation. It's the action of explaining the meaning of something.

What would happen if you had someone that didn't like you interpret something for you? They could easily say things to taint what isn't true. It's an interpretation.

You want to have an interpreter that's not going to sell you to the wolves. When you look at things, you see it for what you know based on your experiences and knowledge.

If you want to change the OUTCOME from an EVENT, you must change your RESPONSE.

That's the surface level. The quick action to get a different outcome.

But what if you want to go even deeper. It's beyond your response. As much as your response is pertinent to changing the outcome, there is something greater.

The power of interpretation.

How you see things. The Heavenly mindset vs. the earthly mindset.

We can get trapped and tripped up by all the stuff the world throws at us.

• The fear of not being good enough.
• The fear of not succeeding even after you jump in and try something new.
• The fear of not being a great mother.
• The fear of not being a good daughter.
• The fear of not being a fine wife.
• The fear of not being liked by friends.
• The fear of standing out.
• The fear of failing and falling flat.

How do you see yourself when you look in the mirror? Do you see all the faults, the fears, the failures? The judgements put upon you?

Do you reason out all of that out with some of your own interpretations?

How do you know if you're at fault? And no it's not the time when you burnt the chicken in the oven. That was your fault!

But how do you know?

You interpret situations and events based on the influencers in your life.

• family (your mom, dad, children, husband)
• doctor
• best friends
• therapist
• pastor
• social media
• tv reality shows.

You need to realize that if you want to impact the world, you have to change the influencers in life. Which means, you have to change your heart by whom interprets your life.

Whom are you giving permission to influence your life?

Life's equation is E + R = O (Event + Response = Outcome)

That's why I coach women and men on this. It's seeing things from a different perspective.

What are you giving permission to absorb and to identify with while  saying, "Yes, this is me."?

The interpretation is key to you balancing your life here on earth from a heavenly perspective.

2. What is your interpretation?
3. How will you move forward knowing the interpretation?
