How many times do you find yourself in a DIY project? In fact, you have SO many DIY projects in your life, you mumble, "Why do I have to do everything myself?"
Why do you say that? And it rolls off your tongue soo easily and too frequently. Something has to give.

And that give is not You -- Doing -- More! This whole idea that no one can do it better, or as fast, or as good, just won't cut it.
You are hanging out with the destructive mentality of do-it-yourself ALL THE TIME!
In time, that will break you; mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, psychologically. AND it will sneak in the back door of hurting relationships too. Plus your finances can be impacted along with your energy.
This whole "I have to do everything myself", is for the birds.
You want to kill your passion, your dreams, your goals? Keep rambling on in your mind (or out loud)...
Why do I have to do everything myself?
Why do you?
- Raised in a perfect home; perfection was expected. So you always give 120%.
- Burned too many times. You can only depend on yourself.
- Honestly believe that no one can do it better, so why let them.
- Control.
- It's just easier.
Regardless of why you have to do everything yourself, you can't do everything yourself.
So if you are done doing everything yourself, what are you to do?
The K.I.S.S. ~ Break away from the "all by myself" mentality!- Lighten your load and let it go.
- Delegate what others can do.
- Champion others' strengths.
- Get out of your own way. Stop and really question what only you can do. What and where does God want you leading?
What you will find is a decrease in stress, anxiety. You will gain more energy because you begin sleeping better. Enjoy some extra free time to use where you desire.
And one thing you need to really understand. God doesn't do life without you! He knew from the moment He created man, the importance of His creation. To make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:19)
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." ~ Matthew 28:19-20God didn't desire to do everything by Himself. Remember, there is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (The Trinity)
God leads us by example. Shouldn't His example be more than good enough for you?
What if God sat back and asked, "Why do I have to do everything myself?"
It would be very selfish of Him. God can do anything and have everything.
But it proves the importance of His creation. Relationships are worthy.
Let go, and let God lead.
Will you follow His lead today?
