You might ask, "What is this mission in the backyard? Don't I have enough to do?"
This mission is the greatest gift you've ever been given.
Yes, days can get very long. Hard to separate the good from the messy. Every corner you turn, there is another toy, lego, or electronic gadget in your path.
Oh and don't forget the loud, obnoxious yelps. Some are understandable, others just grunts. A football team seems more comprehensible at times.
A mission in the backyard.
As the day slows, it's cuddle time. A good bedtime story with a few whines and whimpers to delay the nighty night, turn off the light.
Finally, a refreshment of quietness fills the air. A deep breath awakens the tired muscles. How did you make it through the day?
You are a mom on a mission in the backyard. Some will agree with your tactics, others will just glance and walk away.
You are stronger than you can ever imagine. Strength to remain calm and collected from the fussy children clawing for your attention. Strength to uphold the rules of the house to keep some semblance of order. Strength to give hugs when words are not enough.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Stay strong and be you!- You are more than you believed yesterday. You got through your day. Look how much you've grown. One step at a time leads to miles of greatness.
- Your talents grow with every mundane routine. Who wants to change another diaper, play referee, and cook 3 meals in 30 minutes.
- Your love deepens with each fall and broken heart. Each crack mended with your love strengthens your endurance.
You are a mom on a mission in the backyard.
God has given you the greatest gift on earth.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. ~ Proverbs 22:6You are a mom on a mission in the backyard.

Keep becoming the woman God is creating by the choices you make, by the words you use, and by the thoughts you think. Let the Lord walk with you, mom, on a mission in the backyard. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"
