That is a tough question. As I was tearing out dead bushes yesterday at our new home, I had a few moments to think long and hard about my roll as mom with loud grunting. Those bushes were rooted deep!
And that's the thing. We as moms need to be rooted deep within our children's lives. However, we walk a fine line as to when to release them slowly out into the real world.
Is it just me? Or wouldn't it be nice to protect your children and guide them through everything?
That might be a bit much for both you and them.
With each passing year, your child gains more experience and wisdom.
Is it just me? Tired and frustrated because they aren't doing what they signed up to do. And not the activities. Their attitude and being my child.
Being a mom is ridiculously crazy and rewarding all at the same time. It seems unfair and very scary when facing the unknowns and you can't make everything better.
Nothing in this world is certain, except change and God.
The hope is truly in Him.
So what are you struggling with? Are you wishing you had different children with better attitudes? Are you wanting them to grow up because this "kid" is beyond foreign to you? Do you wish they would make decisions that benefit them personally, not always thinking about a guy or a girl, etc.?
Is it just me?
When I begin to get in the whirlwind of questions, I STOP!! I stop playing the games that I trap myself in.
