Fear and worry draws closer. "Hide me from the rain! Keep me safe during the many storms in my life."

What is my guarantee that sheds my worry, releases my guilt and shame?
Life doesn't seem fair. Just when I think the storms will cease, the pattern shifts in my direction again.
Wouldn't it be nice if the meteorologist got the forecast right?
Last night was crazy spring weather. The skies opened up with extreme and bass-reverberating thunder with bolts of lightning streaking through the sky making contact with the ground. The seizure-like booms echoed throughout the neighborhood as sparks seemed to connect with anything near it.
All was suddenly still. And then the sky opened up once again pouring out its vengeance.
The magnificence of the storm captivated my attention as I lay in bed listening to each thunder strike and the reflection of the lightning through the window.
A great reminder of what it feels like when life happens. The fear. The worry. The unknown.
As our hearts beat faster, we need to know that God is always present. He is always here no matter the circumstances.
At time we will feel alone. But God never leaves us. Satan may whisper doubts and place fear in your heart, but God washes all of it away.
Hide me from the rain.
The stuff that threatens peace and inserts pain. God heals the hurt and mends the heart.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Ask God, "Hide me from the rain.""Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." ~ Matthew 7:7
Ask. Seek. Knock.
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." ~ Psalm 23:4
Even though you are walking through a tough time in your life, you are not alone. Fear no evil, as God has gone before you. God protects you. Nothing surprises Him.
"He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." ~ Colossians 1:17
Whatever season you find yourself in, God is the almighty. He is your provider. He cares for you.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? ~ Matthew 6:25-26
"Ask God to hide you from the rain."
