The struggle with wanting it right the first time is not unusual. In fact, it's very common. However, what I've found is that it tends to hold you back.

Life is like a pan. Scrubbing the broiler pan, I was thinking of YOU! All the messy stuff I was scrubbing off is what makes me ME, and you YOU!! The moments in your life is the messy things you try to scrub off and make sparkly clean. But that is what SEASONS you!! 

Think about that cast iron skillet. You want a seasoned one. Otherwise, it doesn't taste the same. But the seasoned one gives you the edge, the extra delicious tasty food.
