If you did a Google search for comic book movies that were never made. You would be blown away, by not only the sheer number, but also by the number of fan favourite franchises, and characters that almost made it to the silver screen. One of these never to be films, that really peaked our curiosity was a 1997 Daredevil film that was to be produced by Hollywood legend, Chris Columbus. Now this project never went beyond the brainstorm stage, however there was a treatment written by a well respected comic book scribe, Jean Marc Dematteis, who's name you should recognize from possibly one of the greatest Spiderman stories of all time, Kraven's Last Hunt. Columbus tasked Dematteis with writing the treatment, but sadly the project never made it past those pages. Luckily though, the treatment found its way online, and I have to say, we had great time reading it! It's a page turner! So come join us as we breakdown the 1997 film treatment by JM Dematteis "The Man Without Fear" act, by act.
