Today, I sit down with Alan Lazaros — the co-founder of Next Level University — to talk about what it really means to level up your life. Mr. Lazaros has built a coaching empire that's helped thousands grow in health, wealth, life, and love. But before all of that, he was a high-performing corporate engineer, drowning in achievement yet starving for fulfillment. It took a near-death car crash at age 26 to bring his entire life into focus — and from that wreckage, Next Level University was born.

In this episode, Mr. Lazaros walks us through the four buckets of life that define where we are: unfulfilled and unsuccessful, externally successful but unfulfilled, internally fulfilled but broke, and finally, where you’re both successful and fulfilled, and want your future to be an amplified version of your present. We break down how to move from one bucket to the next, why humility and responsibility are the foundation of self-improvement, and how to own your story no matter how broken or blessed it began.

We also discuss how trauma can be fuel for transformation. Mr. Lazaros opens up about the loss of his father at age two, the financial collapse of his family in high school, and the obsessive drive that brought him millions — but left him empty. He now runs a 19-person team, co-hosts a podcast with over 1,850 episodes, and helps leaders across the world build purpose-driven businesses.
