Today, I sit down with Dr. Sheila Jackson to unpack what it truly means to move from “knowing of God” to building a real relationship with Him. Dr. Jackson shares how her faith deepens in her early 30s as she learns to recognize the Lord’s voice, commit to daily time in prayer and Scripture, and embrace obedience when it’s uncomfortable. We explore why character formation must come before platform, and how faithfulness becomes the decisive trait God develops in us over time.

We also talk through her bold decision to leave a secure, well-paid career at General Motors after 15 years—a leap guided by God that tested her trust, discipline, and spending habits. Dr. Jackson explains how resisting old comforts revealed deeper pride and self-reliance, and how the Lord used real-life “repeater courses” to teach provision, stewardship, and surrender. She highlights anchor Scriptures like Jeremiah 29:11 and John 15:13 that re-center believers when the journey feels uncertain.

Finally, Dr. Jackson shares her calling as a teacher. She founded the Wind, Spirit & Soul Prophetic School with a curriculum that prioritizes character over gifts and equips students to discern God’s voice responsibly. Today, her ministry spans international work—including online schools serving Abuja and Jos, Nigeria—where she teaches how the Holy Spirit’s work, our spirit, and our soul intersect to either aid growth or derail it.
