Stress is a common everyday occurrence in our lives. We need a certain amount of stress that does not overload our internal resources. Positive stress helps us meet our challenges to grow and learn.
On the opposite side, we have negative stress. It is the kind that wears you out and places your mind and body in distress, it can be exhausting. Chronic stress or stress that persists for a long time or is constantly recurring takes a heavy toll on our whole wellbeing, both mind and body.
