E36: Ed Gein

Known as the mad Butcher of Plainfield or the Plainfield Ghoul, Ed Gein left a lasting mark on American society. While the exact number of victims remains unconfirmed, his crimes influenced pop culture. Ed was the inspiration for several fictional characters, including Norman Bates in Psycho, Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs.
