One of the most efficient options that is a clean energy source is in fact geothermal ground source heat pumps. They simply rely on the ambient temperature of the Earth at shallow depths and a heat exchanger to heat and cool infrastructure from residential homes to large industrial operations. What a fascinating interview this week with Jay Egg of Egg Geo, who solved a simple problem at his home back in the 80's using ground coupled geothermal which led to the founding of what is today a worldwide leader in designing and engineering for geothermal ground source heat pumps.
