Episode 104: Derek Haas

This episode of Conversations with Ross features Derek Haas.
Derek is the co-creator of Chicago Fire and Chicago PD. Derek has also co-written the screenplays (with Michael Brandt ) for Wanted, 3:10 to Yuma, and 2 Fast 2 Furious.
Derek discussed the highs and lows of being a working screenwriter.  He talked about breaking in, running  a writers room, and what mistakes he sees young writers make most often. He offered some good behind-the-scenes stories on Chicago PD, and compared the process of writing screenplays to writing novels.
