Requesting Repairs what buyers and sellers need to know about Santa Clarita real estate

Homes and real estate in the Santa Clarita Valley and greater Los Angeles areas is moving fast, but nowhere as fast as it did Quarter 1 and 2 of this year. Due to schools becoming in session again, the market slowed as we get into the holiday season as well. 

When a home buyer submits a request for repairs on a home they are buying, sometimes the process breaks down due to them getting bad advice from their friends, family or even their agent.

A proper request for repairs should be about items that are health and safety concerns. A cracked foundation, mold, water leaks, intrusions, roof repairs, structure problems and the like. 

For new carpet or new paint, those are best handled up front when the original offer is being scribed.
