There is never any shortage of conversation concerning Black matriarchs or Black Queens, but rarely will you hear a conversation about Black patriarchs or Black Kings. Why is that? Why are Black men only discussed negatively within and outside of our community? Why is there no reserved space for the regard and respect of the contributions Black men have made to the community and to the world globally? What can we do in order to change the conversation so the impact and influence of Black men is recognized, revered and remembered for what is truly is?
