New AMA President Dr. J. James Rohack's Inauguration Address

The American Medical Association (AMA) has inaugurated Dr. J. James Rohack, a cardiologist from Bryan, Texas, as the Association's 164th president. In his inaugural address as AMA president, Dr. Rohack covered a range of issues central to the ongoing debate over healthcare reform in the United States, chiefly that we improve access to high-quality, affordable health care for all of our patients.

"I can promise that our AMA is committed to offering guidance, our expertise, the benefits of our relationship with patients, and the powerful voice of our profession, to help the powers that be make the right decisions," said Dr. Rohack.
