Global Atomic Corp is a Canada-based resource company. The Company operates through two segments: the Uranium Business and the EAFD Business. Its Uranium Business is engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of uranium properties in Niger. The Company carries uranium exploration and development activities through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Global Atomic Fuels Corporation (GAFC). It owns Dasa project, which is a uranium deposit that lies within the Adrar Emoles III licence area, 105 kilometer south of the uranium mining town of Arlit, in Republic of Niger. The Company’s EAFD business is the development of electric arc furnace dust (EAFD) recycling business in Turkey to recover zinc in concentrate, which is sold to smelters. Global Atomic Corp, in partnership with Befesa Zinc S.A.U. (Befesa), a Spanish company that operates a number of Waelz kilns throughout Europe and Asia, has a joint venture known as Befesa Silvermet Turkey, S.L. (BST) operating the Iskenderun plant.
