Thoughts inspired from the study of
Come, Follow Me: Feb 24 - March 1
Book of Mormon: 2 Nephi 26 - 30

Have you ever dwindled in your belief in your self? Life felt heavy, dark, consuming? How about a dwindling in your belief that you can have a strong and connected family? -I know I have! Today we talk about how Nephi moves through pain and anguish to a place of hope and promise.

This episode is so important for all of us. Elder Eyring received advice that he passed onto us in a conference talk title, "In the Strength of the Lord". In that talk he says, "When you meet someone, treat them as if they were in serious trouble, and you will be right more than half the time." That is becoming more and more true.

"Globally, more than 264 million people of all ages suffer from depression. Depression is a leading cause of disability worldwide and is a major contributor to the overall global burden of disease. " https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/depression

The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates that each year approximately one million people die from suicide, which represents a global mortality rate of 16 people per 100,000 or one death every 40 seconds. It is predicted that by 2020 the rate of death will increase to one every 20 seconds.

Our Focus Scriptures are:

  1. 2 Nephi 26
  2. 2 Nephi 28:30
