Section 136 is a revelation given by the Lord to Brigham Young regarding the trek west. It came at a time when the Saints were once again bogged down by opposition. It contained practical advice about how to proceed with the trek the following year. This revelation transformed the Saints and gave them the power they needed to quadruple their abilities.
