Jesus wants you to join Him in His mission - the mission of saving souls.

"But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God." Acts 20:24 NLT

"As he was walking along the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter), and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the sea—for they were fishermen. 'Follow me,' he told them, 'and I will make you fish for people.' Immediately they left their nets and followed him. Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John. They were in a boat with Zebedee their father, preparing their nets, and he called them. Immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him." Matthew 4:18-22 CSB

Three Truths About Fishing For People:

1. Jesus Doesn’t Call The Best, He Calls The Willing

"As he was walking along the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter), and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the sea — for they were fishermen. Immediately they left their nets and followed him. Immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him. ‘ Matthew 4:18,20,22 CSB

2. Jesus Calls Us First To Be With Him, Not Do For Him

“Follow me,” he told them… Matthew 4:19 CSB

3. Jesus Calls Us To Be Disciples That Make Disciples

“…I will make you fish for people.” Matthew 4:19 CSB

"My Father is glorified by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be my disciples." John 15:8 CSB

"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 CSB

“God’s plan for discipleship is not something, but someone.” Robert Coleman
