Costco announced a massive $15 special dividend, keeping up their impressive track record of paying investors not only quarterly dividends but special dividends every few years. While many dividend investors are celebrating this large dividend payment, I'm not sure if people should be celebrating as this is now less capital for the company to spend on growing their business.
