My favorite type of Dividend Stocks are Business Development Companies or BDCs invest in small- and medium-sized companies by providing financing to companies that often get over looked by the bigger banks. BDCs are required to pay out 90% their profits to shareholders in the form of dividends to maintain the BDC status and avoid paying Federal Income taxes. BDCs offer some high risk high rewards with their often 10%+ dividend yields. Today we will take a look at some of the best BDCs out there in Ares Capital ARCC, Hercules Capital HTGC and Owl Rock Capital Corporation ORCC.
