Hey there fellow weather enthusiasts, welcome to your coastal waters forecast for the beautiful Sunshine State of Florida! So, what can we expect out on the waters off Florida's coast?
Well, we're looking at a gentle to moderate east-southeast flow sticking around through the start of the week, thanks to high pressure chillin' over the western Atlantic. But hold onto your hats - a front is coming through mid-week, bringing in some strong north-northwest winds and some waves to match.
For those heading out near Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach out to 60 miles today, you're looking at southeast winds of 10 to 15 knots, with seas around 2 to 3 feet. Intracoastal waters will be a moderate chop - not too shabby!
Now, for all you Biscayne Bay enthusiasts, get ready for some southeast winds at 10 to 15 knots today, creating a moderate chop. The seas will be around 2 to 3 feet. Pretty sweet conditions for a day out on the bay.
And for Lake Okeechobee fans, expect some east winds at 5 to 10 knots today, leading to some light chop on the lake waters. Not too rough for a day of fishing!
Now remember, things might get a bit wild midweek as the winds pick up, especially Thursday and Friday, so keep an eye out for any updated forecasts as we get closer.
