Hey there, Florida folks! Let's dive right into your coastal waters forecast for today, Thursday, December 5th, 2024, brought to you by the National Weather Service in Miami.

For Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach, winds are coming in from the north at a comfy 5 knots. Expect seas around 2 to 4 feet, occasionally reaching 5 feet. Intracoastal waters will be smooth, so get ready for a smooth sail or a calm cruise.

As we move into tonight, those north winds will shift to the northeast at 5 knots, then swing around to the northwest after midnight. Seas should settle down to 2 to 3 feet. So, a peaceful night on the water with a light chop in the intracoastal waters.

Now, looking ahead to tomorrow - Friday brings a shift to northwest winds at 5 to 10 knots, picking up to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Seas will stay in the 2 to 3-foot range. Intracoastal waters will have a light chop, perfect for a day out boating or fishing.

And for you night owls, Friday night is when things start to pick up a bit with north winds of 10 to 15 knots and gusts up to 20 knots. Seas could reach 3 to 5 feet, occasionally hitting 6 feet. Intracoastal waters will see a light chop.

Looking further ahead to Saturday through Monday, southeast winds bring gusts up to 20 knots with seas ranging from 3 to 5 feet, occasionally reaching 6 feet. Intracoastal waters might have a moderate chop, so keep an eye out for changing conditions.
