Hey there folks, hope you're ready to dive into the Coastal Waters Forecast for Florida! Today is Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, and I've got all the nitty-gritty details for you straight from the National Weather Service in Miami.

So, what's the scoop out there on the Atlantic coastal waters and the Gulf coastal waters in Florida? Well, it looks like a northeasterly swell is keeping things spicy with hazardous marine conditions up in the northern Atlantic waters until late this morning. Don't worry, though, as the winds and waves are expected to calm down towards the end of the week.

For all you sailors and boaters, listen up! A small craft advisory is in effect until 10 AM this morning. Expect northeast winds at 10 to 15 knots, with seas ranging from 4 to 6 feet, occasionally reaching up to 8 feet. Things will gradually mellow out tonight with seas relaxing to 3 to 5 feet.

As we cruise into Thursday, the winds will be around 5 knots, with seas maintaining at 2 to 4 feet. By the weekend, the winds from the east will pick up, bringing gusts up to 20 knots and seas around 3 to 5 feet. Time to hold onto your hats!

For those sticking around Biscayne Bay or Lake Okeechobee, the weather is looking fairly pleasant with moderate chop on the waters and light winds through the end of the week.
